Memory Lane Three:

The Fish Market (1875)

The design was produced by Mr. Morant, the Borough Surveyor. Costing £8, 469, its' red brick, stone dressings, and ornamental brick and iron work produced a pleasing effect. It was 221 feet long, 51 feet 6 inches wide and 37 feet high. The roof was a patent tubular iron structure, light and graceful in appearance.
